Friends of the Mycetoma Research Center
Who are the Friends?
The Friends of the Mycetoma Research Center are people who wish to
support the work of this internationally
renowned specialist center. The Friends
make their voluntary contribution in a
variety of ways, with particular
emphasis on the patients’ welfare. They
devote their time mainly to promoting
social activities and raising funds
which are used to improve the comfort
and well-being of patients.
The Friends serving on the Committee are elected as Trustees of the
Charity by the members. The Committee
meets each month to discuss all issues
raised by the Friends, consider requests
and organise future activities.
What Do We Do?
The Friends raised funds to support the treatment of patients and
contacted several overseas donors to
support the various activities of the
center. They organise many activities
throughout the year and the funds raised
are used to provide extra amenities and
equipment for the care of patients in
the centre.
Will You Become a Friend?
Please consider becoming a Friend of the Mycetoma Research Center. Your
support would be most welcome. Our
annual subscription is a minimum of £5,
but we are of course pleased to receive
donations of any amount. The annual
subscription is due on the first of
January.

Fund-raising
Fund-raising is a great way of
helping the Mycetoma Research Center
continues its vital patient care and
research into the various mycetoma
aspects. You may already know what you'd
like to do, but in case you don't, we've
got lots of ideas to help get your
fund-raising started.
With your help, the Mycetoma
Research Center can really make a
difference to the lives of the many
people affected.
